Prehanging
Prehanging is the process of assembling all the components for a doorway – door, hinges, jamb, and any hardware – so the doorway, as one unit, can be fitted on site into a preframed builders opening. At Hoults, we obtain a door, we build the frame that surrounds the door, called the jamb, and we connect hinges and hardware to both the door and the jamb. The result is a perfect doorway with a balanced door. We can provide one or multiple prehung doors for your project.
Weatherproofing and Seals
We have a range of seal options and door types to help with rooms that may require some acoustic retention. See our Noise Control page. We also have many cost effective options, internal and external, to help control or reduce draughts and fumes (i.e., from garages) as well as seals to reduce water penetration.
Modifying Doors
Our specialised team can help with modifying an existing door. In some cases, we can resize doors or insert vision panels. Please contact us to discuss this further.
